and no one to worry us,
no one to hurry us through
this dream we've found...
We'll gaze at the sky
and try to guess what it's all about,
then we will figure out why
the world is round.
We'll be as happy and contented as birds upon a tree.
High above the mountains and sea.
We'll bill and we'll coo
and sorrow will never come,
or will it ever come to
our room with a view?
A room with a view and you
and no one to give advice,
that sounds a paradise few
could fail to choose.
With fingers entwined we'll find
relief from the preachers
who always beseech us to mind
our p's and q's.
We'll watch the whole world pass before us while we are sitting still,
leaning on our own window sill.

and maybe a stork will bring this and t'other thing
to our room with a view...
Un cuarto con vista y tú
y nadie que nos preocupe,
nadie que nos apresure por
este sueño que hemos encontrado...
Miraremos el cielo
y trataremos de adivinar de qué se trata,
y luego imaginaremos porqué
el mundo es redondo.
Seremos tan felices y contentos como pájaros en un árbol.
Más altos que las montañas y el mar.
Cantaremos y trinaremos
y la tristeza nunca vendrá,
o es que podría evenir alguna vez
a nuestro cuarto con vista?
Un cuarto con vista y tú
y nadie que dé consejos,
eso suena como un paraíso que muy pocos
fallarían en escoger.
Con los dedos cruzados hallaremos
alivio de los predicadores
que siempre nos quieren hacer recordar
nuestras preguntas y respuestas.
Contemplaremos al mundo entero pasar frente a nosotros mientras nos quedamos tranquilos,
apoyados en nuestro propio pretil.
Cantaremos y trinaremos
y quizás una cigueña traerá una que otra cosa
a nuestro cuarto con vista...
